Candle Care

A candle’s flame soothes our soul while its fragrance illuminates our senses.

The following guidelines are to ensure proper use of your candle, favour its longevity and, most importantly, offer a safe burning experience.

Frosted layer on wax

Just like chocolate, Soy & Beeswax develop a frosty layer called Blooming.

This is the nature of natural wax & does not affect the burn ability or fragrance of a candle.

When making your candles, we use our knowledge of candlemaking to help reduce the chances of frosting. Once your candle is on its way and settled in your home, many factors can come into play, such as temperature changes and their environenvironment.

Natural wax & fragrance throw

When creating our candles, we use our knowledge of candlemaking and the recommended amount of oil to wax ratio by our fragrance suppliers.

Using natural and healthier waxes such as Soy & Beeswax may not have as strong of a scent throw compared to petroleum-based waxes, we believe the trade off is worth it.

Room to Candle size ratio

Smaller candles are perfect for testing or using in small rooms such as a bathroom. The larger the room, the larger the candle or number of candles required to fill it up with fragrance will vary.

Fragrance is also subjective, some prefer stronger smelling candles whereas others prefer a subtle & peaceful aroma.
